Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Osceola's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Leon by a score of 6-5.
Osceola also got a good showing from Jackson Berglund, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned run off one hit (he also only allowed one walk). Berglund has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Osceola saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Richard Stegbauer, who went 2-for-4 with a stolen base. Stegbauer is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last nine games he's played.
IMG Academy White pushed their record up to 12-7 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs per game. As for Osceola, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6.
