Basketball Game Preview: Forest Hill Falcons vs. Lake Worth Christian Defenders

The Forest Hill Falcons and the Lake Worth Christian Defenders will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Two weeks ago, Forest Hill lost to Dr. Joaquin Garcia on the road by a 59-42 margin. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 507th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 180th).

Meanwhile, Lake Worth Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Giants 77-41. The Defenders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 29 points or more this season.

Lake Worth Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.9 points per game. As for Forest Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Forest Hill came up short against Lake Worth Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 87-79. Can Forest Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
