Recap: Millbrook Wildcats vs. Broughton Capitals

The Millbrook Wildcats were the 44-35 winner over the Broughton Capitals when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Millbrook took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Broughton. Millbrook has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aaliyah Graham, who scored 14 points along with 7 steals and 6 assists. Ariana Morris was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 5 rebounds.

Broughton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kendall Walpole led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kalajah Wright, who scored 14 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds.

Millbrook has fallen quite a ways from their 20-8 record last season and are now at 1-5. As for Broughton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Millbrook's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Southeast Raleigh at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th. Southeast Raleigh is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Broughton, they will challenge Heritage at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
