Softball Recap: Neshoba Central Now 12-3 over Last 15 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Neshoba Central walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over the George County Rebels on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Rockets: when they faced off against the Rebels on Tuesday, they had to take a 4-1 loss.

Neshoba Central has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for George County, with the defeat, they broke their 13-game winning streak and moved their record to 33-3.

Neshoba Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rebels: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
