Washington County posted their closest win since October 26, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Frankfort Wildcats 2-1. Surprisingly, this marked the Tigers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Washington County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 15-25, 25-14, 25-22.

Anna Goeckel paced Washington County's offense, picking up 16 kills. Goeckel got some help from Jayden Laflen and her 23 assists.

Washington County's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Frankfort, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
