Softball Recap: Los Altos Takes a Loss

If Los Altos was riding high fresh off their 11-5 takedown of Gunn last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles lost 11-4 to the Westmont Warriors on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 4-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Sabrina Neal made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lila Neugebauer, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Los Altos' loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Westmont, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-10 record.

Los Altos didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-9 defeat against Milpitas on the 24th. As for Westmont, they have also already played their next match, a 5-1 loss against Ann Sobrato on the 24th.
