Baseball Recap: False River Comes Up Short

False River lost against Slaughter Community Charter back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Gators fell 7-3 to the Knights. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wyatt Heine and Matthew Gradfeo did some serious damage despite the final result: Heine scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Gradfeo scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Heine has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

False River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17-1. As for Slaughter Community Charter, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-10.

Looking ahead, False River will square off against White Castle at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Slaughter Community Charter, they have already played their next match, a 15-0 victory against East Feliciana on the 3rd.
