Baseball Recap: San Gabriel Takes a Loss

San Gabriel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Alhambra Moors, falling 22-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Matadors of the 13-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

San Gabriel's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Alhambra, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season.

While San Gabriel had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
