Volleyball Recap: Evergreen Takes a Loss

Evergreen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Patrick Henry Patriots. If the Vikings were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Patriots when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12, 25-20.

Lanae Manz paced Evergreen's offense, picking up ten kills. Manz got some help from Lissa Roesti and her 25 assists. Manz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Patrick Henry was led to victory by Kensey Weber and Whitney Feehan. Weber had nine digs and four aces, while Feehan had eight aces and three digs. Weber is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season.

Evergreen's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Patrick Henry, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Evergreen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Fairview on the 18th. As for Patrick Henry, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Elmwood on the 18th.
