Softball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lexington's offense. They came up short against the West Davidson Dragons on Tuesday, falling 17-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-1 back in March.

Lexington dropped their record down to 0-10 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for West Davidson, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Lexington will be playing at home against Thomasville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for West Davidson, they are taking a road trip to take on Reagan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Dragons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
