Roger Bacon gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the New Richmond Lions. The win was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on nine straight dating back to last season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-6, 25-15.

Claudia Hoffmann was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Hoffmann wasn't the only good server: Roger Bacon was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive games dating back to last season.

Roger Bacon has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Badin on the 19th. New Richmond has also already played their next match (against Clinton-Massie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
