St. Charles North took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They strolled past Geneva with points to spare, taking the game 48-32. Given the North Stars' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Vikings are ranked 225th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Proviso West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 78-48 loss at the hands of Addison Trail.

Proviso West's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for St. Charles North, their win bumped their record up to 22-8.

Everything came up roses for St. Charles North against Proviso West in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 59-27 victory. Will St. Charles North repeat their success, or does Proviso West have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
