Basketball Recap: Southwest Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

On TuesdayBleckley County kept up with Southwest until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Southwest Patriots blew past the Bleckley County Royals 62-36. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Royals back in January, they had to take a 39-37 loss.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southwest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chase Dupree, who went 8 of 19 en route to 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The matchup was Dupree's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Ashley, who posted 21 points.

Southwest's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Bleckley County, they moved to 13-10 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Southwest won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Northeast at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bleckley County has already played their next contest (against Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
