Walpole is a perfect 10-0 against Needham since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Timberwolves will welcome the Rockets at 4:00 p.m. Needham took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Walpole, who comes in off a win.

Walpole came out on top against Framingham on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Timberwolves put the hurt on the Flyers with a sharp 8-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Timberwolves in their matchups with the Flyers: they've now won nine in a row.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Needham and Braintree, and Braintree kept the tradition alive. The Rockets took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wamps on Friday. The game marked the Rockets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Kaitlyn Cheng put in work no matter where she played. She pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off eight hits. Cheng was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.

Cheng wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Liv Kirschner, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That double was Kirschner's first of the season.

The win got Walpole back to even at 1-1. As for Needham, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Walpole skirted past Needham 6-5 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Timberwolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
