Volleyball Recap: Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains vs. Old Fort Stockaders

Hopewell-Loudon was the 3-1 winner over Old Fort when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains fell just short of the Old Fort Stockaders by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Chieftains' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Hopewell-Loudon took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 21-25, 20-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Even though they lost, Hopewell-Loudon kept the net locked down and finished the game with 12 blocks. That's the most blocks they've posted since back in August.

Old Fort can attribute much of their success to Mylee Sebetto, who had 12 digs.

Hopewell-Loudon's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Old Fort, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Hopewell-Loudon will welcome St. Joseph Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Old Fort, they will venture away from home to square off against Lakota at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
