After low-scoring totals in their previous four game, St. Thomas More Academy brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They blew past the Friendship Christian Falcons 12-3 on Monday. The Chancellors not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 19, 2024 (when they won 14-0).

Gavin Sandner was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and four runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Sandner, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

The victory snapped St. Thomas More Academy's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-8 record. As for Friendship Christian, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Looking ahead, Friendship Christian will head out on the road to face off against Thales Academy Rolesville at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
