Ballard Memorial had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Massac County Patriots. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bombers have posted since April 30th.

G Glisson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Glisson was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, A Alexander was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was A Hargrove, who went 3-for-4 with two runs.

Ballard Memorial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 15 hits in three consecutive matchups.

Ballard Memorial's record now sits at 21-15. As for Massac County, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-16-1.
