TCAL Division I - District 2 (6 Man) recap Sept. 26, 2012
Methodist Children's Home extended the longest winning streak in TCAL Division I - District 2 (6 Man) this week by beating THESA, 47-20. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Bulldogs.
Live Oak Classical took down Living Stones Christian 59-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Paul McCaw threw for 219 yards and five touchdowns and ran for six yards in the win.
Methodist Children's Home's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dalton Sparks threw for 231 and five touchdowns and Ja'Corey Anderson had 122 yards receiving. On the ground Chris McLeod chipped in 142 yards. Ty Kinnard helped Methodist Children's Home's passing attack out by catching two balls for 37 yards.
Samuel Still made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Falcons defeated the Lions. The 6-foot-1 junior recorded one fumble.
5-foot-8 quarterback McCaw of Live Oak Classical is the league leader in passing yards this season with 927. He has also thrown 17 touchdowns. On the ground, BVCHEA HomeSchool's Skylar Harris has rushed for 392 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Steven Savala. The Allen Academy star has 25 catches for 366 yards.
Jordan Barker's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 59 points on Living Stones Christian. McCaw in the win.
