Recap: Cypress Creek Coyotes vs. Wiregrass Ranch Bulls
After flying high against the Tarpon Springs Spongers last Friday, the Cypress Creek Coyotes came back down to earth. Cypress Creek was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 41-40 to Wiregrass Ranch. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cypress Creek in their matchups with Wiregrass Ranch: they've now lost five in a row.
Cypress Creek lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaitlyn Pendleton, who scored eight points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Carinne Washington, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Cypress Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Wiregrass Ranch, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-7.
Cypress Creek will head out on the road to take on Pasco at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wiregrass Ranch won't have much time to rest: their next game is against South Lake at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th. Hopefully South Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 last Thursday.
