Soccer Recap: West Stanly Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 2-2 at halftime, West Stanly was not quite East Rowan's equal in the second half on Monday. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. West Stanly were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Rowan apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Oswaldo Jaimes wasn't going to let East Rowan walk away unscathed as he scored both of West Stanly's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

West Stanly's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for East Rowan, their win bumped their record up to 3-0-1.

Looking ahead, West Stanly will be playing in front of their home fans against South Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for East Rowan, they are taking a road trip to take on Central Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Rowan are facing Central Davidson at the right time seeing as Central Davidson are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
