Eldorado is 8-1-1 against Sandia since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles will head out to face off against the Matadors at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Eldorado took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand Santa Fe a 5-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for Eldorado in their matchups with Santa Fe: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Sandia got the win against Manzano on Saturday by a conclusive 8-2.

Eldorado's victory bumped their record up to 14-2-1. As for Sandia, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.

Eldorado was able to grind out a solid victory over Sandia in their previous matchup two weeks ago, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
