Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of JERMEA JACKSON and JAMEYA BROWN Lead North Marion to Victory

There's no place like home for North Marion, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Sunday. They blew past the Keystone Heights Indians 65-40 on Tuesday. Given the Colts' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Indians are ranked 567th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading North Marion to victory were JAMEYA BROWN and JERMEA JACKSON. BROWN posted 31 points and eight rebounds, while JACKSON dropped a double-double on 17 points and 21 rebounds. Those 21 boards gave JACKSON a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of AIYANNIA BARNES, who earned nine points along with seven boards and five assists.

North Marion smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

North Marion pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Keystone Heights, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

North Marion won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Santa Fe at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Marion is facing Santa Fe at the right time seeing as Santa Fe is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Keystone Heights, they will face off against Crescent City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
