Preview: Linton-Stockton Miners vs. North Decatur Chargers
The Linton-Stockton Miners and the North Decatur Chargers will face off at 4:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Linton-Stockton sitting on six straight victories and North Decatur on nine.
With a playoff game on the line, Linton-Stockton rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 43-36 win over the Warriors.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the match if you win every quarter, and that was precisely North Decatur's strategy against South Ripley on Saturday. North Decatur took down South Ripley 57-39.
North Decatur's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madi Allen, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelsey Haley, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Linton-Stockton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. As for North Decatur, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6.
