Football Recap: Dorsey Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Dorsey had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Carson Colts 29-0. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 569th, while the Colts are ranked 234th).

Chris Fields iii was nothing short of spectacular for Carson: he rushed for 79 yards and one score on only six carries, and also threw for 108 yards and a pair of TDs. That's the most rushing yards Fields iii has posted since back in September of 2024.

The victory got Carson back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Dorsey will take on Castlemont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carson, they are taking a road trip to square off against Palos Verdes at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
