Soccer Game Preview: Lake Highlands vs. Nimitz

The Lake Highlands Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Nimitz Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Lake Highlands will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Lake Highlands is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Berkner on Wednesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Lake Highlands' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 197th, while Berkner are ranked 711th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to seven goals the game before, Nimitz was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They fell just short of Irving by a score of 1-0.

Nimitz's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for Lake Highlands, their win bumped their record up to 4-5-1.

Lake Highlands got the 'W' when the teams last played back in February of 2025 against Nimitz by a conclusive 6-0 score. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Vikings turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
