Football Recap: Western Alamance Comes Up Short on the Road Against Northwest Guilford + How To Watch

Western Alamance kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. The match between the Warriors and the Northwest Guilford Vikings didn't end well, with the Warriors falling 24-7. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Vikings are ranked 25th).

Ethan Oakley threw for 32 yards on six of 14 attempts. On the ground, Jordan Hall rushed for 54 yards.

Northwest Guilford's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rakem Hammock, who picked up 135 receiving yards and one TD. That's the most receiving yards Hammock has posted since back in September of 2024. Ferrell Price was another key player, having thrown for 283 yards and two touchdowns.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western Alamance will take on Southwest Guilford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northwest Guilford, they will challenge Page at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
