Football Game Preview: Bergenfield Bears vs. Millburn Millers

The Bergenfield Bears will head out to face off against the Millburn Millers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bergenfield hasn't scored more than seven points for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Bergenfield is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against River Dell on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bears had to suffer through a 48-7 loss at the hands of the Golden Hawks. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Bergenfield's loss came about despite a quality game from Jordan Correa, who rushed for 81 yards and one TD on only ten carries.

Meanwhile, Millburn lost to Nutley on the road by a 36-20 margin on Friday.

Bergenfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Millburn, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Bergenfield skirted past Millburn 29-26 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
