Basketball Recap: Hazen Takes a Loss

Hazen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Redmond Mustangs, falling 59-31. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent loss being a 65-40 defeat last Friday.

It was another big night for Sofia Locati, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 15 rebounds for Redmond. The dominant performance gave Locati a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Iha Kasam, who went 6 of 14 en route to 17 points and five boards.

Hazen's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Redmond, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 19-1.

Hazen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-37 defeat against Juanita on the 11th. As for Redmond, they have also already played their next game, a 62-52 loss against Lake Washington on the 8th.
