            Softball Recap: Carver A&T Wildcats vs. Notre Dame Prep        
        
		
        
        
            Notre Dame Prep hit Carver A&T with a five-run first inning  on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats came up short against  Notre Dame Prep, falling  17-6.
  Maya Einolf was cooking despite her team's loss,   going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. That  triple marked the first that  she has  hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Haleigh Frye, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
Carver A&T has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record  this season. As for Notre Dame Prep, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  at home.
