Basketball Recap: Rochelle Zell Jewish Tigers vs. Woodlands Academy Wildcats
After losing to the Woodlands Academy Wildcats the last time they met, the Rochelle Zell Jewish Tigers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Rochelle Zell Jewish sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 47-44 win over the Wildcats on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rochelle Zell Jewish.
Defeat or not, Woodlands Academy got some senior leadership from Greer Talty and Regan Stewart. Talty scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, while Stewart. scored 13 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Talty has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aanya Sahu, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Rochelle Zell Jewish has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Woodlands Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
Rochelle Zell Jewish will take on the Cristeros at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Woodlands Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
