Recap: Kaufman vs. Mabank
The Kaufman Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They came out on top against Mabank by a score of 4-2. That's another feather in the cap for Kaufman, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
They hit Mabank with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Aaron Cervantes (2),
Yahir Benitez, and
Nathan Martinez.
Kaufman's win bumped their record up to 3-5-1. As for Mabank, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season.
Kaufman will face off against Community at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Mabank, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kemp at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
