Baseball Recap: Huntsville Triumphs

Huntsville won against Douglas last Saturday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Huntsville Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the IMG Academy Gray Ascenders, sneaking past 4-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Truitt Taylor looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Andrew Barnsby was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.

The victory got Huntsville back to even at 2-2. As for IMG Academy Gray, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Huntsville will take on Hewitt-Trussville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for IMG Academy Gray, they will face off against Inspiration Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. IMG Academy Gray's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Inspiration Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
