Baseball Recap: 21st Century Charter Takes a Loss

21st Century Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Bowman Academy Eagles, falling 11-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 15-11 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

21st Century Charter saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was William Robinson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

21st Century Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bowman Academy, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

Coincidentally, 21st Century Charter and Bowman Academy will both be playing East Chicago Central the next time they take the field. The Eagles will head out to face the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
