Basketball Recap: Fort Ann Find Success

Warrensburg came into Wednesday's contest looking for another win against Fort Ann, but Kadence Cutter wouldn't allow it. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Fort Ann Cardinals made off with a 51-50 victory over the Warrensburg Burgers thanks in part to Cutter, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more boards the last three times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Stowhas, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (three).

Warrensburg's loss on Wednesday came despite strong showings from Owen Jones and Silas Tucker. Jones posted 20 points, while Tucker scored 16 points. That was a full 40% of Warrensburg's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points.

The win got Fort Ann back to even at 8-8. As for Warrensburg, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Fort Ann wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 76-33 victory against Argyle on the 7th.
