There's no place like home for the Tonkawa Buccaneers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They strolled past Covington-Douglas with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 60-42.

Covington-Douglas' loss came despite strong showings from Ford Smith and Derrek Daugherty. Smith dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Daugherty scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four blocks. Smith scored a full 38.1% of Covington-Douglas' points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Tonkawa's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Covington-Douglas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.
