Softball Recap: Plattsburgh Takes a Loss

Plattsburgh had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 5-5 to make it four. They lost 14-8 to the Ticonderoga Sentinels. Hornets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Sentinels since on Wednesday.

As for Ticonderoga, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 12-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 16.3 runs this season.

For Ticonderoga's part, Jazlyn Disbrow was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Addy Moore, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Plattsburgh wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-1 loss against Beekmantown on the 15th. As for Ticonderoga, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 30-0 victory against Lake Placid on the 15th.
