Volleyball Recap: Bayfield Falls Short of Stargate School in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Bayfield couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 3-1 to the Stargate School Eagles on Friday. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Evelette Hollibaugh paced Bayfield's offense, picking up 15 kills. Hollibaugh got some help from Avery Shipman and her 29 assists. Lauren Rich controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Bayfield and nudges their season record down to 19-9. As for Stargate School, their win bumped their record up to 24-3.

Bayfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stargate School, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Resurrection Christian on the 14th.
