Volleyball Recap: Central Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Central came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the East Longmeadow Spartans, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Golden Eagles have suffered since October 22, 2024.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-18, 25-17.

When it comes to explaining why Central lost, don't look at MyKella Meadows. Despite the final result, she had ten assists and eight digs.

Central's defeat ended a six-match streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-2. As for East Longmeadow, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will welcome Baystate Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Longmeadow, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Easthampton/Hampshire at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
