Softball Recap: Fowler Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Fowler entered their tilt with Ionia on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Bulldogs. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Fowler's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Ionia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Fowler will face off against Perry at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Ramblers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Ionia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Charlotte at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
