Basketball Recap: Wahoo Takes a Loss

Wahoo lost against Beatrice back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wahoo Warriors fell 38-31 to the Beatrice Orangemen.

Despite the loss, Wahoo still got an impressive performance from Claire Emerson, who went 6 of 9 to rack up 17 points. Emerson is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games she's played.

Wahoo's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Beatrice, their record is now 9-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wahoo will challenge Wayne at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Beatrice, they will square off against Lincoln Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 matches -- so hopefully Beatrice likes a good challenge.
