Basketball Recap: Northview Takes a Loss

Northview played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Tate Aggies, falling 70-23. The Chiefs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-15.

Tate's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sam Williams, who posted 23 points. Those 23 points gave Williams a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brelynn Morris, who had 18 points.

Northview's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Tate, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northview will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pensacola Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Tate and Navarre will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
