American Leadership Academy came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Waterford Ravens 61-37. The Eagles pushed the score to 49-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Ravens cut but never quite recovered from.

American Leadership Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kannon Huntsman, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Huntsman is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Jackson, who went 7 of 9 en route to 16 points and eight rebounds.

American Leadership Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. As for Waterford, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. American Leadership Academy will head out to take on Draper APA at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. American Leadership Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Draper APA likes a good challenge. As for Waterford, they will face off against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waterford is facing St. Joseph at the right time seeing as St. Joseph is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
