Baseball Recap: Purdy Wins Going Away Against Greenfield

Purdy won the last time they faced Greenfield and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the Wildcats. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.

Purdy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Greenfield, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Purdy will venture away from home to face off against Miller at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Greenfield, they will take on Pierce City at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
