The Crest Lancers will head out to square off against the West Franklin Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Crest will bounce into Monday's matchup after beating Kansas City Christian School, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Lancers blew past the Panthers 11-1 on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lancers considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Kade Nilges made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Nilges was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jensen Barker was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Henry White, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, West Franklin entered their tilt with Chase County on Thursday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 13-3 win. Surprisingly, this marked the Falcons' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Like Crest, West Franklin also got a great game from a two-way player: Gunnar McMahan. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. McMahan has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maverick Moody, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jessy Altic, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.
West Franklin pushed their record up to 18-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Crest, their record is now 15-7.
