Basketball Recap: Grundy County/Newtown-Harris Beats Tri-County for Their Second Straight Victory

Grundy County/Newtown-Harris won the last time they faced Tri-County, and Kinsley Allnutt did her part to make sure it happened again. The Grundy County/Newtown-Harris Panthers walked away with a 44-37 win over the Tri-County Mustangs on Monday thanks in part to Allnutt, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Grundy County/Newtown-Harris' points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lexa Stonger, who posted seven points and six steals. What's more, she also posted a 60% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in January of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Grundy County/Newtown-Harris and bumps their season record up to 13-8. As for Tri-County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Grundy County/Newtown-Harris will have a chance to go back-to-back against Tri-County: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on February 18th.
