Basketball Recap: Cave City Takes a Loss

Cave City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost 54-29 to the Salem Greyhounds. While losing is never fun, the Cavemen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while the Greyhounds are ranked 28th).

Cave City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Salem, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Cave City has already played their next game (against Flippin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Salem will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Melbourne at 5:00 p.m.
