Volleyball Game Preview: Beaver Local Beavers vs. River View Black Bears

The Beaver Local Beavers will head out on the road to challenge the River View Black Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Beaver Local is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

Beaver Local's tournament run continued when they took on Minerva on Tuesday. The Beavers blew past the Lions 3-0.

While Beaver Local won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-15.

Meanwhile, River View earned a 3-1 win over Indian Valley on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Black Bears in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 23-25, 25-22.

Beaver Local's record now sits at 22-2. As for River View, their record is now 20-4.

Beaver Local suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to River View in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Can the Beavers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
