Basketball Game Preview: Harvey Red Raiders vs. Jefferson Area Falcons

The Harvey Red Raiders will face off against the Jefferson Area Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Saturday, Harvey was beaten by Chardon 56-19. The contest marked the Red Raiders' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Jefferson Area took a blow against Gilmour Academy last Monday, falling 56-14. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 594th, while the Lancers are ranked 219th).

Harvey's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Jefferson Area, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Harvey suffered a grim 42-21 defeat to Jefferson Area in their previous meeting back in February. Can Harvey avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
