Baseball Recap: Cumberland Takes a Loss

Cumberland fell victim to Randolph-Henry and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Statesmen, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Statesmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-3 back in April.

Cumberland has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Randolph-Henry, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cumberland will welcome Charles City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Randolph-Henry, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Buckingham at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
