Softball Recap: Reed Snags 18th Win in Last 20 Games

Reed lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Spanish Springs, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's match. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the Cougars on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Raiders, who have now won 16 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Hayley Noble was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Noble was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last nine games.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tiare Kanae, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Reed has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Spanish Springs, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-9-1.

Reed will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair will be back at it again later today.
